Many of the new and potential members of the RAFA Racing Club are keen to get behind the wheel of a real racecar, but just by attending the recent grand opening, they got to get some early laps virtually thanks to Racing Unleashed.

Racing Unleashed provides world-class digital racing experiences – accessible to everyone, everywhere. Their advanced technologies, athletic-centric competitions, and racing lounge franchise network enable Racing Unleashed to create the most engaging experiences for motorsport fans worldwide.

Headquartered in Switzerland, Racing Unleashed has already opened several of their “Racing Lounge” centers across their home country (Zurich, Kemptthal, and Affoltern am Albis), Germany (Munich), and Spain (Madrid).

Members of the RAFA Racing Team took the opportunity to try some virtual single-seater / open-wheel action during the event.

“Great motion, great feedback. And it was great to just slowly start building to get a little bit of speed on it. The Racing Unleashed sim is incredible, I absolutely loved it,” said RAFA Racing Club founder, Rafael Martinez.

“I’ve never actually driven a formula car, but I can tell that the whole cockpit, the feel, the way that you see the car is just built for that platform.”

Recent IMSA VP Challenge race winner Ian Porter made the leap from his Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 to a virtual formula car as well.

“I got to drive around Spa in a formula car in the Racing Unleashed sim. That was nuts,” Porter said.

“A huge shout out to them for flying all the way over from Europe to Houston, just to give us that formula-style experience.”
