Double victory celebrations in Misano

RAFA Racing Team capped off the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America season in perfect fashion at Italy’s Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, taking a pair of class victories to close out the weekend.

Lindsay Brewer and Jem Hepworth claimed their second win of the season in the AM class, while Rocky T. Bolduc earned his second LB Cup victory of the week, giving the team a sweep across both categories.

Starting from third on the grid, Hepworth delivered a lightning start in the No. 102 RAFA Racing Team Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, charging into the lead within the opening laps before handing over to Brewer to bring the car home. The pair finished 3.6 seconds clear of the field.

“Jem had a brilliant start and made up two places right at the beginning of the race,” Brewer said.

“She was able to hand the car over to me in the lead, and it was my job to just bring it home from there. We knew to have any chance of winning the championship, we had to win today, and it’s so rewarding to make that happen.”

Hepworth echoed the sentiment, reflecting on a season of progress and consistency that came within reach of a title.

“To finish up only two points away from winning the championship is very frustrating, but it has been an amazing season, and it was awesome to finish the year in the best way possible,” she said.

“The start was great, and then the race leader got a penalty, so I was able to hand the car over to Lindsay in the lead. She did an amazing job bringing it home, and we’re just so grateful to everyone at the RAFA Racing Team for giving us such an amazing car all season.”

In LB Cup, Bolduc delivered another standout performance in the No. 199 RAFA Racing Team Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, taking victory by more than seven seconds. The result marked his second win of the week and underscored RAFA’s strong form heading into the final stage of the season.

“What a way to finish the season! Two pole positions and two wins – we swept the final round,” Bolduc said.

“When we arrived in Italy, I was hopeful of a strong result, but never imagined something like this was possible. I’m just grateful to all the team at RAFA Racing Team and everyone who has helped across this incredible season.

“Both entries finished the season second in their respective championships – Brewer and Hepworth by two points and Bolduc by three.

The results also lifted RAFA Racing Team to third place in the overall Teams’ Championship, a significant milestone for the team.

As the team transitions into the Lamborghini World Finals this weekend, Brewer said the Misano success provides the perfect springboard.

“We’re now heading into the World Finals weekend on a high, but it will be an entirely new experience racing against teams from all over the world,” she said.

“We’ll be in the Pro-Am class for the rest of the weekend, and that certainly is a tougher challenge, but it is one that both Jem and I are really looking forward to.”
