There are fan clubs for teams. Fan clubs for drivers. Fan clubs for series.
But what about the people who simply love racing?
That question led RAFA Racing Team founder Rafael Martinez and the team behind RAFA Racing Club to create Random Racing Club, a new community designed for motorsport fans of every kind.
Formula 1. IndyCar. NASCAR. Sports cars. Sim racing. All of it.
“If you love racing, not just our racing, but any kind of racing, this is for you,” Martinez said.
The idea is simple. Create a place where racing fans can connect, meet up at events, attend watch parties, join conversations, and become part of a community that extends beyond a single team, driver, or championship.
“We wanted to create a place where fans could actually connect, get together for a race, show out to a watch party, and just connect with other people that get it,” Martinez explained.
While the initiative is being launched by RAFA Racing Club, Martinez is quick to point out that Random Racing Club is not intended to be a traditional fan club.
“It’s not just a RAFA Racing fan club,” he said. “It’s for anyone that’s into motorsport.”
Membership will always be free, with early members gaining access to a growing list of benefits that include a dedicated Discord community, Random Racing Nights, trackside meetups, and limited-edition merchandise drops.
The club officially opens on June 23, with just 150 Founding Member spots available in the initial launch phase. Martinez said those first members will play an important role in shaping the future direction of the community.
“It’s free, always,” he said. “But right now, we’re starting this from scratch, and we want the first 150 people to help us shape what this becomes.”
The first in-person activation is already on the calendar, with Random Racing Club set to kick off at Watkins Glen International on June 26 during one of North America’s biggest sports car racing weekends. For fans looking for a place to share their passion for motorsport, meet like-minded people, and help build something from the ground up, Random Racing Club is aiming to become exactly that.
