RAFA Racing Team will welcome 25-year-old American driver Augusto “Augie” Soto-Schirripa for his debut this week at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America.
The Miami-born racer will partner with Brazilian ace Werner Neugebauer in the No. 68 Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, competing in the Pro class.
Soto-Schirripa’s program with RAFA Racing will include two high-profile outings: the Indianapolis doubleheader this week, followed by the Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Finals in Misano, Italy, in early November.
Both events will mark important milestones in his transition from open-wheel competition to GT racing on an international stage.
The young American brings a strong résumé into the series. Starting in karting at an early age, Soto-Schirripa rose through the open-wheel ranks before joining the 2023 F4 United States Championship.

Soto-Schirripa collected four race wins across the campaign and finished third in the championship despite missing two rounds.
In 2024, he finished sixth overall in the USF Juniors standings, highlighted by five podiums, including a race victory.
Soto-Schirripa also shares a close connection with RAFA Racing through his girlfriend, Maite Cáceres, who drives for the team in its multi-series program. His addition to the lineup underscores the team motto — Race As Family Always.
“I was very interested in switching to sportscars and looked at Lamborghini Super Trofeo as an ideal platform,” Soto-Schirripa said.
“I initially didn’t want to do anything that would interfere with Maite’s program, but she urged me to talk with Kevin Conway, and things have now come together perfectly.

“I’m massively impressed with everything I’ve seen with the team. They are incredibly well organized and have a massive presence in the IMSA paddock. This opportunity really provides my sponsors with a perfect platform to maximize their investment.”
The chance to race at the fabled Indianapolis Motor Speedway is an opportunity that Soto-Schirripa is really looking forward to.
“I have tested there before, but this will be my first chance to race at Indianapolis. I’m very excited about the opportunity as this is such a special place,” he said.
“I did one race in the Lamborghini last year, and I now can’t wait to team up with Werner. Hopefully, we have a strong showing in Indy and then get ready for the World Finals in Italy.
“That will be another incredible opportunity. All the best teams in the world will be in Misano, but I’m confident we will have the opportunity to really be a contender.”

Although confirmed for just these two races this year, Soto-Schirripa already has his sights set on 2026.
“That’s what I said to Kevin (Conway) at the start. I’m not looking for just a brief opportunity to finish out the year. I want to use this as a springboard for 2026 and to continue to be a part of the RAFA Racing Team,” Soto-Schirripa said.
The RAFA Racing Team will again feature in three classes across the Lamborghini platform. AM class winners Lindsay Brewer and Jem Hepworth will be looking to add to their five consecutive podiums, as well as scoring their second race win in a row.
Rocky T. Bolduc returns in the LB Cup class, also aiming to add to his Watkins Glen class victory.
Another winning RAFA Racing Team combination – Michelin Pilot Challenge racers Rafael Martinez and Jim Jonsin – will also be in action at Indianapolis aboard their Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2.
