The Lamborghini Super Trofeo season reaches its crescendo next week at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, where teams from across the globe will converge for the 2025 Lamborghini World Finals. 

Among them, RAFA Racing Team will field a three-car effort featuring drivers Jem Hepworth and Lindsay Brewer in one entry, Augusto “Augie” Soto-Schirripa alongside Werner Neugebauer, and Rocky T Bolduc in his LB Cup entry. 

The week-long celebration of Lamborghini motorsport will include the final rounds of the Super Trofeo North America season before culminating in the World Final races, which bring together competitors from Europe, Asia, and the United States to crown overall champions. 

For Hepworth, the event represents both familiar territory and the biggest stage of her season.

“I’m definitely feeling more confident than any of the rounds this year,” Hepworth said. “I’ve been to Misano before—last year in European GT4—and we did a lot of testing there, plus a race weekend. So I know the track quite well, especially compared to the U.S. circuits this year that were all new to me. I’ve been doing a lot of simulator work too with the RAFA Racing Team, so I’m feeling really confident.”

Confidence built through preparation

The team has spent the weeks leading up to Misano training together virtually, logging countless laps on iRacing to refine lines, braking points, and consistency. Hepworth credits that preparation—led by RAFA teammate and IMSA VP Racing Challenge champion Kiko Porto—for helping her and Brewer sharpen their pace.

“Before races, we try to do hosted sessions together,” she explained. “It’s tricky with the time difference between the UK and the U.S. Kiko watches our laps and gives feedback—little tips on what to do better or what tricks might help. He’s driven the Lamborghini longer than both of us, so his advice is really valuable.

“It can go on for hours because you get addicted to trying to match the pro times,” she added with a laugh. “It’s so much more useful than just driving on your own because you can compare, test different things, and learn so much faster.”

Dream week in Italy

The Lamborghini World Finals are renowned for their spectacle: a week of test sessions, qualifying, and four total races—two for the North American finale and two for the global World Final shootout. For Hepworth, the immersion in competition and Italian culture is a dream realized.

“I’m super excited about the World Finals,” she said. “I saw the schedule a few weeks ago and it’s crazy—in the best way. It’s a full week of racing. I get there on Saturday and leave the next Monday. There are loads of test sessions, four races, and so much track time.

“For me, it’s honestly a dream come true. There’s nothing better than being in Italy for a week, driving a Lamborghini, and representing RAFA Racing Team. It’s such a huge event for Lamborghini, and to be part of it is really special. I can’t wait to sign off the year in such a special way.”

A transatlantic debut season

The Misano event also serves as a fitting finale to Hepworth’s first full season racing in the United States—a year she describes as transformative, both personally and professionally.

“As soon as I joined RAFA Racing Team back in 2023, the goal was always to go race in the U.S.,” Hepworth said. “This year was that debut year for me, and it’s been incredible. The championship’s still on the line—it could go any way—but whatever happens at Misano, it’s been such an amazing first year in America.

“I’ve raced on so many legendary tracks, under IMSA weekends, and we’ve had mega results. Fighting for the championship and getting our first win at Road America was just the highlight of the year. It’s been a dream come true.”

Adapting from European GT4 machinery to the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 presented its own challenges, but Hepworth said she has developed a deep connection with the car.

“It’s definitely a step up from GT4 in terms of horsepower, and it’s been a learning curve,” she said. 

“But I’ve fallen in love with the car. When I get in it now, it feels like home. I know how it’s going to react, how it likes to be driven. With the support of the team and Podium One Racing helping on the simulator side, it’s been a great year. I think next year will be even better.”

Learning the American way

After a full campaign across iconic North American circuits, Hepworth reflected on her favorite—and most challenging—tracks.

“My favorite track was definitely Laguna Seca,” she said. “That was such a special weekend, even though it wasn’t our best result. I loved the Corkscrew and the first sector. It’s an incredible track, and I can’t wait to go back. Road America obviously has a special place in my heart, because that’s where we got our first win.”

As for the toughest challenge? “I’d have to say Sebring,” she admitted. “It was my first race in the Lamborghini, and those bumps are no joke. Watkins Glen was a close second—it’s such a high-commitment track, especially through the Esses in the Lamborghini.”

Returning to Italy

Now, as Hepworth returns to Italy, the setting carries both nostalgia and anticipation.

“I spent a lot of time in Italy last year, and I’m so excited to go back,” she said. “The food’s incredible, the coffee’s amazing—especially the espresso—and I’m looking forward to the cooler weather after some hot rounds in the U.S. It’s going to feel different being back in Europe after a full season in America, but I’m ready for it.”

With the championship fight still alive and the world’s best Lamborghini drivers converging on Misano, Hepworth and RAFA Racing Team are poised for a week that could define their season.

“It’s going to be brilliant,” she said. “A whole week with the team, racing in Italy, fighting for a title, and ending the year on one of the biggest stages possible. I can’t wait.”
